Brookline Booksmith

I think Brookline Booksmith is one of the best book stores in the Boston area, and it is dog friendly! The employees and customers are always friendly and Dessie is given a treat each time we check out. I can spend hours walking through this store. They buy and sell used book and the employee recommendations great! I suggest checking out their event calendar because there are always great authors going to their Writers & Readers Series.

Boston Harbor Islands are dog friendly!

For just $35, you and your Boston Pup can take a boat ride to a dog friendly Boston Harbor Island . . .and it is leashless!

Board at Long Wharf/Columbus Park or at Scups in the Harbor Restaurant in the Boston Harbor Shipyard & Marina in East Boston @ 11am on Saturdays. If you haven't had the chance to experience Scups, I highly recommend it! There are picnic tables outside the restaurant. . perfect for you and your pup. The sandwiches are to die for! I recommend the Rapture or Ultimate BLT.

Saturday Mornings at PETCO

Dessie very much enjoys her Saturday mornings! She loves playing with other pups, so when we found out about Puppy Socialization Saturdays at PETCO, we were running there every Saturday morning. It was a sure win to find other Boston Pups. Also, a great place for her to let out energy on a rainy Saturday morning!

The free class is to allow the puppies to learn how to play with each other. They gate off an aisle from 10-11 am.

J.P. Licks’ “Cow Paws”

Mr. J. and I were taking a walk with Dessie the other day, and there was a crowd outside J.P. Licks. They were all waiting for the J.P. Licks "Cow Paws," a peanut butter doggie sorbet made with all natural and pet friendly ingredients!

Your Boston Pup can enjoy free samples of J.P. Licks’ “Cow Paws”! MSPCA, J.P. Licks and Especially for Pets are teaming up for one of their “Dog Days of Summer” events to be held outside on Friday, August 1st from 12 to 3pm at the Jamaica Plain shop (659 Centre Street) and Friday, August 22nd from 12 to 3 pm at the One Brigham Circle shop (1618 Tremont St., Boston). Not only will J.P. Lick's be giving out free sample of the "Cows Paws" but Especially for Pets will handing out complimentary doggie toys.

We are always looking for new places to take our Boston Pup. We search online, buy books, talk to our friends. There just doesn't seem to be one place with a lot of information.

Our Boston Pup is Dessie. She is the sweetest bull dog mix. She loves other dogs and adores people!
